Or Horror solid, if that phrase is more to your liking. The movie, based on a Clive Barker story (I think it's a short, but since I haven't read it, I wouldn't swear that it is), has some very nice special effects. Not for the faint hearted! Not too many though, just enough to keep you on the edge of your seat.

The same can't really be said about the story. Let's just say that you will know pretty soon where this is heading. If you think this is a bad thing (not being surprised and knowing more than the main character ... much more!), is up to you. Apart from V. Jones, I liked the main character. You might recognize him from Alias. Interestingly enough he's portraying a similar character in this, than his Alias ... well character. In Alias he was a reporter, here he's a photographer. The movie stands and falls with his performance (Jones phones in his performance with ease or does his run of the mill, depending on your point of view). And I think he does a great job.
